The power of DEACON just got more powerful. R26 is all about enhancements: iterating on our current roll algorithm, incorporating more features to go along with the USGA Moisture Meter, and implementing user feedback for visual improvements. Here is a brief look at some of the highlights in DEACON R26:
New Roll Algorithm
After extensive feedback from users, experiences at championships, and research, we have identified some improvements to our GS3 green speed calculation. This new iteration of our roll algorithm better accounts for surface transition detection, physical distance estimation, and operator technique variability.
Clustered Color-Coded Pins
For visual simplicity, pins that are close together will be clustered into a single displayed average. Adjust the map to your desired granularity by zooming in or out. Additionally, all individual pins can be viewed by clicking on the cluster.
Customizable Hole Location Sheets
Our hole location sheets (available on web) now include layout and hole sequencing customization. Choose from walking trifold, cart sleeve, cart or caddy cut, or pocket fold options along with a top-to-bottom or left-to-right numbering orientation.
Flashing Moisture Popup
When taking soil test measurements, the results for moisture, temperature, and salinity will flash on the screen for 2 seconds before going back to pin view. Particularly useful for hand-waterers, this popup provides a quick, easy-to-view measurement display.
Swipe to Delete Functionality
When viewing individual results in tabular format, swipe left to easily delete respective rows. Previous instituted for roll tests, this functionality has expanded to drop and soil tests as well.
Bluetooth Continuation to Next Surface
DEACON now gives you the option to seamlessly continue with the same GS3 or USGA Moisture Meter as you move around the course without needing to reconnect. Save time and clicks by selecting the option to continue the Bluetooth connection on new surfaces.
Loading Screens
Experience an updated UI when the drop, roll, or soil attempt is in progress. See progress of the data processing while the results are loading.
